Williamson got a bad whack on his thumb, having scans to determine what damage has been done

Yeah Nah, Carey's start to his test career was as average as we have ever seen from an aussie international keeper. He then had a real good 3 month period until the Bairstow incident. Since then he has been horrible with both bat and gloves

At 32, weve had a look and he isnt the man.

Not sure Inglis is the answer either but at least at 26 he has time on his side. Inglis should have caught his chance imo but it's funny when Carey was dropping even easier chances people gave him the benefit of the doubt, Inglis drops one and people are putting him in the can on one performance.

Rod Marsh's start to his test career was much worse than Carey's and of recent years, Matthew Wade and Peter Nevill both were much sloppier keepers than Carey and had worse starts to their test careers.
Josh Inglis is 28 and will be 29 in March. There has been much hype about him especially from the West who push their own like no other state, but I would rate both Carey and Jimmy Peirson as better glovemen than Inglis,

Gurbaz got BBQ'd. :( He was playing so well and was rightfully blowing up when walking off.
