Last night was possibly the worst display of leadership from a test captain.
Absolutely 0 energy
Field placings were diabolical.

Steve Smith threw a ball in from the deep and neither Green nor Cummins backed up. Patty had to run to save it from 4 over throws. They weren't happy with Smith, but where's the basic backing up from Cummins???

Harsh, Our skipper is leading wicket taker and we are up 2/1 in poms back yard.
The wend rain is apparently very heavy and they must win or we keep ashes, will they declare over night?

Only an insignificant part of the day in the end, but the concept is BS. Wanting to check if it was a fair catch is fair enough, so is basically saying he thinks Root hit it, so surely that is the only thing reviewed at that stage and the choice to review has to go back to the player(s) involved.

It won't rain for 2 days & if we're chasing at least 150, we could poop our pants & fold on day 3 anyway.
2 all.

Just saying last night he ran out of ideas or had 0 confidence in any plans they had.
I think the Poms keep attacking, they get near 200 in front and they will be confident to knock us over.
Ball starting to bounce inconsistently.

Not that it mattered much by why didn’t Cummins take the new ball himself?

You just won the WTC and are 2 1 up in the ashes in a place you haven't won in 20 years. Maybe a bit of an overreaction. Listening to Langer on commentary I can see why they got sick of him.

Jesus H. Christ, you lot are a fickle bunch.

Yes we've had a terrible day out there but anyone would think half of you are poms, the way you're carrying on now that things have gotten tough.

We're 2-1 up in the most difficult place to tour for a reason. If our batsmen in particular can put in a few more hard yards in the remaining three innings of the series then we win.

McDonald was shown on the telecast laughing his head off as his bowlers were getting slammed all over the UK.

Has Vettori (believe he is the bowling coach) next to him who was yawning his head off and looked like he had been out on the turps all night.

Not a good look

The key consideration here though is, are you tipping us to win the 5th test or not?

Yep, noticed that.

Two low energy blokes dressed like slobs who are for differing reasons very lucky to be in the Australian dressing room in the first place.

If we do go on to lose the series they can both **** right off.

I think we have been very much outplayed since the Lords test match.

Bazball or not, the poms have our measure right now. As a supporter, I want to see us come back. Let's see some fighting ticker.

Our batters have in the main been ok, the fact that not 1 of them couldn't kick on and score 80+, or even 100 + score has hurt this game.

Sure, Crawley rode his luck, but he has 189 next to his name.
