Agree, best young list in th AFL

we will ignore the fact we have lots of injuries. But non the less. still think our young talent is quality.

i am not making excuses. we were shite last night. Embarrassing. And have been poor for several weeks now.
Saying that, we literally have our best backs out. 2 elite mids and a key forward out.

just the outs from last year's grand final

Parker
Mills
Logan McDonald
Tom McCartin
Paddy McCartin
Reid

*Ladhams

But our young players are as good as any in the comp.

We overachieved last year and weren't ready. With injuries and form of some senior players we have been struggling this season.
I love him but it's time for Buddy to go. We won't be down long. We never are.

Would you consider Buddy a success at Sydney? 3 GF's in his time (which is a great strike rate) but no flags. Has he brought more fans to the game in Sydney? I think he's been one of the great modern players but don't really know much about him.

Buddy was worth every cent. The money alone he's bought to the club has been incredible. Our member ship number have increased a lot. He carried us in to the 2014 gf, he actually played well that day. But a white-hot hawthorn. Massive yearin 2016, unfortunately rolled his ankle early in the GF.
Last season he was good. Oiir GF showing, but he had 21 other mates

Yet you’d trade in all these accolades for a flag.
Deep down inside you’d have to be disappointed that with the massive contract you gave him, he couldn’t deliver a premiership.

Obviously, who wouldn't do the same?
However, we wouldn't have gotten to 2 of those grand finals if it wasn't for him. I was disappointed at first. But certainly not now.
On the big stage we have come against two of the best sides of the modern era and the bulldogs. Essentially we choked. But i am annoyed at alot more other players then buddy on those day.
He did help us win a flag though, he didn't kick straight in 2012

So we are the only club to offer big contracts?

well, for a club to be successful they need to be able to be sustainable financially. I was asked if he was worth it. As a club, he is very much worth it. We may not have won flags, but we have atleast been around the mark on regular basis. we have missed the finals twice since he's been at the club. and since 2000 we've missed them only 4 times. I reckon our culture is pretty good.

What rule did we break? You do know GWS, Brisbane and Gold Coast had the same set up???
You sooks got what you wanted anyways as we got a ban on trading for 12 months for following the rules implemented by the league and agreed upon from the clubs. And look we still survived and stayed around the mark. And even on the salary cap as the rest of the comp, we've been to 3 grand finals.

Didn't break any rules. 4 clubs had COLA, 2 had a go at him and 14 couldn't compete with the offer.
