Dean Holland involved in a bad fall in the first at Donald. Complications meant it’s taking a long time to move him so the meeting has now been abandoned.


That doesn’t sound good, all the best to Dean.

The Victorian Jockey's Association have released a statement after a race fall this afternoon at Donald: ''Dean Holland is to be airlifted to Melbourne. Injuries are critical. Further update as advised.

Yeah I knew when I posted bud, but didn’t want to say anything til the family had. So bloody sad, I love a punt as much as the next person, but find myself constantly worrying about jockey safety these days.

White Marlin is a good horse, but i'm still on the fence re. his ability to win the Cup. I don't believe has he ever trialled/raced over 3200m, which has to be a question mark.

Has won over 2800 from a wide barrier and won it by 6 lengths.

Very short at $1.35 which is to be expected as he has won 6 from 6 .
