R1 Norwood v Eagles Friday 7.40

Postby DOC » Mon Mar 27, 2023 11:26 am

Trial game form will mean three fifths of five eights of SFA come Friday night. Surprised that the oval is being used as it will host 2 AFL games in a fortnight and as we know they are orchids and need perfect conditions to thrive.

Norwood have played as many players as is possible over their three trials and I have only seen a bit of them. I think they will be a bigger side with Callow and Lok adding extra height. Callow is a big unit (next to me). Eagles get Jimmy Rowe back which is a huge plus.

Team selections for both sides will be interesting for me with both sides having enticed players from my club club.

Early tip Norwood at home.

Scoreboard photo tradition to continue.

I was there last Friday
Adelaide Oval staff are helping with the oval thanks to the Reacha Round
I suggested to the powers to be that they hold an AFL game every year. I have never seen it look so good

Eagles could be missing a few good players. Collier-Dawkins, Knight, Lehmann D. Menzel and Brinker-Ritchie all could be doubtful for Friday night.

I thought Rory got employment back home in Victoria and left last summer?

Has he joined the Keegan Brooksby FIFO Club or have things changed on the vocational front?

Jackson Callow, Patrick Walker and Pierce Seymour will be a late starters due to ankle injuries.

Finn Heard, Cory Stockdale, Tyrin Book and Josh Richards have had major knee surgery and will be late starters.

Either side by a goal.

That is quite some list.

How many of those are "best 22"?
