He has had plenty of days in Premier Cricket where he’s bowled big overs in a day and comes in strongly at the end, or the next morning as per the Semi Final last year.

When Gillespie was crapping on about Johnson a few weeks ago he always stated he’d be looked at for the 50 over stuff and wasn’t even considered for this Shield game.

It’s BS. Just like how they didn’t pick Drew at the beginning of the year.

The other guy who is in hot form at the moment, and has been all season, that they should have picked is Pope.

You’ve got a lefty that can bowl 150 and swing it, full of confidence, and a highly rated leggie who’s strung it together and is ready to go and they’re playing against each other at Kensington Oval tomorrow. Meanwhile we’ve got Doggett, McAndrew and Manenti plugging holes in the team.

The time is/was now.

We have declared at lunch 7/438.

An early wicket or two would be nice.

Spencer Johnson has taken 4 so far in the grade match, Doggett would want to do something in this innings

Buckingham is the 12th man for this (same side as Johnson West Torrens) and he would appear to be ahead of Johnson.
