There was a tie in our work's footy tipping comp so they awarded the winner on the points margin thingy, pretty stiff IMO, I would've thought that only separated the weekly winner.

There has been a few funky rules added over the past few years so I don't bother with it anymore.

In the COVID year they introduced two joker rounds but failed to tell everyone, it was stupid as some weeks all games didn't go ahead and you some where changed on the day, I was cruising along out in front late in the season and then someone bounced past me using a joker, just not a fan full stop.

I ran one at work where I had two mystery rounds, rounds 10 and 20. The slips were placed in a welded coffee tin and people crossed their names off of it when they put them in the slot.

Round 10 sat under my desk for 12 weeks until the week I went to tally it, it wasn't there.

I asked around frantically and ended up finding out that our janitor binned it, he had only done it a few days prior so I dragged him outside, put him on a pallet, lifted him on a forklift and made him search through the compactor for about two hours until he found it

This lad...so he used to get RDOs but refused to take them. When he retired, the company offered to pay him out on them and he refused the payout.

I did work experience with the Salisbury council.

During my week there was a union meeting to vote on getting more RDO's, I think it was gonna go from monthly to fortnightly.

I was sitting in there and everyone except for one older bloke voted yes, they asked this fella why he objects? He replied with "That's one extra day per month I have to sit with that f****** cow of a wife of mine"

Mate, I kid you not, I was in one comp where that was paid out that way, the 3 tied first placed people shared the first placed prize money and 4th got more than them 3 as the were deemed 2nd, there were huge scenes and the shiela running in gave no f***'s whatsover

They did this at the pub a few years back. Can't remember exactly how it played out but something like 3 people shared 2nd place prizemoney so the stand alone 3rd placegetter collected more than them. Lunacy!!
