I rate breweries. Now that may seem obvious but I'm talking about the breweries that have popped up in the last 5 or so years.

Pirate Life, Big Shed, Sweet Amber, Smiling Samoyed, Shapeshifter, Little Bang, Shifty Lizard, South Coast, Goodieson, Swell, Vale, Kick Back, Bowden, Bright Star, Blackwood, Prancing Pony, Barossa, Bond Store, Brew Boys, Lobethal, Rehn Bier, Watsacowie, Western Ridge, Meechi....that's just the ones I've visited!

Their introduction to the SA food / brew scene is brilliant, one of the best "trends" of the last decade I reckon. I rate beer!

Gorillaz concert last night, with my 12 y.o. daughter, very cool experience!
I rarely go to concerts but I'm glad I went to this one BUT they didn't perform Dare, which left everyone very surprised!

Our health system cops some bad press but it's one of the worlds best whether we like to believe it or not. Daughter, a barber, took the pad off her left middle finger tip on Saturday at work ( $900 scissors are sharp! ), took her to the QEH where the nurse described it as a "shit show". We got sent off to 334 Port Road clinic, 15 minutes after arriving and less than an hour after presenting at the QEH we're cleaned, stitched and dressed. Not one cent out of pocket. Not one drama. Rate.

Our 9 year old gymnastics had her first competition for the season down at Marion on the weekend.

After winning nothing last year, she had cracker of comp...

Started on the beam and scored an absolutely putrid 7.35, it was so bad, I hadn't seen her do her routine that bad ever.. she was in 23rd out of 27 after the first rotation.

Went to the floor smashed that and got an 8.85 this was awesome as she put her disappointment of the beam behind her.

Then vault did an 8.5 and then Uneven Bars 8.75.

So All Around she had a 33.45 which was good enough for 12th out of 27. Not a bad recovery...

She came away with a bronze medal for floor and a fifth place ribbon for Bars...

If she can just get her bloody beam sorted and didn't have 2 falls she would have finished 5th over all...

Well done Jase Jnr.

I think we've all had a fall or two over the years thanks to the Beam.

International Beer Day on Friday.
Might have to have one or two, would be rude not to.
