As a footballer he deserves the award. If he chooses to accept fine. If he chooses to decline, fine. I really don’t care. Same for Rugby League, don’t care, would rather watch paint dry.

Agree, imagine how hard it would be for him to do all the media that surrounds the event, you know they would be at him about what he went thru.

True.
But on the flip side he could now tell us what he went through at the time and what the AFL need to do better next time.
No one wants a repeat of what he went through so bringing attention to it now with less emotion would be the way to go IMO

That no one ( caveat here, that I can determine) cares either way.

Good point, except a quick view of the comments all over social media shows there is still plenty of emotion around the topic - and mostly in the negative.

I don’t do social media but I would have thought we have learnt a lot since Goodes retired.

SOO is some of the best TV of the year. The physicality of these blokes is one thing, the willingness to participate is another. They have massive onions and I love watching it. Especially when NSW wins.

Just checked the logs and both Booney and Jimmy deleted posts they'd written themselves. No mods deleted a post of anyone else's.
