As a football fan I hope he one day feels enough ground has been made up that he will accept the award he certainly deserves.
As a footballer he deserves the award. If he chooses to accept fine. If he chooses to decline, fine. I really don’t care. Same for Rugby League, don’t care, would rather watch paint dry.
