Got to admit I do frequent Subway once a month, and get odd looks from people when I tell them it's junkfood day.

Italian herb, Classic chicken, cheddar, all salad except olives, southwest sauce.

I boycotted for a while when they got rid of beetroot, I can't justify the extra 50 cent for it now either.

I was a maccas man from 16-33.
Then I got too fat so started counting kjs.
The Pepsi Max option at KFC keeps the points down so now my go to is a regular fillet burger combo, no lettuce.
Bene smashing them for the last two years.
Dropped 30kgs in 9 months and have managed to keep it off for 18 months and counting.

Don't get me wrong, I still hit up maccas from time to time, but KFC gets the nod more often than not.

That's quite impressive with COVID chucked in there.

Last time I went on a health kick I was surprised at how much Pepsi Max or Coke Zero made, I still drank heaps of CC's but stopped using Coke.

Because I am prone to irritable bowel syndrome I have to be careful of what I eat and what is in the mix. So if I am desperate enough to eat in any of them I settle for a Macca's Quarter Pounder - to see me through until I can get something better. I guess the others may have similar options but I know where there is a conveniently located Macca's near where I live and also on my usual route into Adelaide.

Word of warning, if you go to broken Hill steer clear of KFC, got a horrid reputation which i can vouch for

some of the comments on social media are unreal

always enjoyed KFC until my last 2 outings there, went back a second time because i didnt think it could be that bad, i was wrong, undercooked, fatty, wrong order.

These days i'm just a Maccas Mcchicken meal person, all i eat from there and thats very rarely in anycase, havent been to HJ's in 25 years for no specific reason, might pull on HJ's next week when back working in Broken Hill

Maccas for Bacon and egg muffins, never ever HJ's
HJ's for Bacon Deluxe or Ultimate Double Whopper, never ever Maccas
KFC for tenders or wicked wings

Chips for consistency- HJ's
Best chips on their day- KFC
Never ever Maccas

I went with KFC

Best chips in Adelaide, Chicken Chef, Main North Rd

On a side note my boss is behind the development that will finally see Maccas and KFC come to the Barossa. Going to be a real trap with them 100mtrs from my work

All round = HJ

KFC - doesnt normally sit well with the grease n shit. But the tenders are a winner. So 2nd.

Maccas - quarter pounder is the only thing they have, but 2 bites and its goneski. Haven't had Maccas for a long long long time
