They've got lots of members though. I'm genuinely confused by the notion McGuire has been great for Collingwood and his good outweighs the bad.

Collingwood were on the bones of their backside when he took over. The flags haven’t come but he has turned them into a financial powerhouse with a massive membership base.

Bullshit, he's hurting because he's finally being held to account after walking away without consequence every other time he's f*cked up.

Firstly, he never called Adam Goode's king Kong.
Secondly it was the fact we didn't have the correct processes in place, more of a admin thing than outright racism.
Thirdly, the lady tossing the coin, very awkward moment and Ed tried to lighten the moment.
The fourth....well who wouldn't!
And last of all, Ed's opened his mouth to change feet several times but never done it coming from a bad place.
Something not foreign with your bloke.
Every afl club would've taken Eddie as President!

True, he just suggested using him to promote the musical called King Kong.

His verbal gaffes (some worse than others) have always been up in lights, He has copped some punches along the way, fair enough as far as it goes.

It's generally accepted he has transformed Collingwood, certainly seems their fans respect what he has done. They are recognized as a powerhouse of the comp, even if a few other clubs have landed the flags.

I'm not sure if anyone can claim he is anything but a decent member of society, for all his well publicized faults. A bit of perspective would be good, but this is footy related.

Which should put the club in a position to win multiple flags, the way he has acted I can now see why no-one challenged him for the Presidency, he would have just bullied anyone that challenged.

Even in his resignation speech yesterday he had to fluff up his ego with a list of achievements.

Given Eddie did an unpaid job for 20 years with over 20 hours per week at his own expense it does speak volumes of the bloke.
Who else would do that.

****ed if I would.
