I think some of the umpires get off on being abused.

Always interesting to see how they unfold end of year - there was a game this year where the umpire praised one of our blokes how good he was.. bloke had an absolute stinker - didn't make a run, dropped catches etc

I had a couple that used to love me, one that still gets around now had a huge smile when I went out to bat and asked if I was going to launch a few sixes today, he said he'd been hoping to get to umpire me, we were playing on southern most oval at the Units and about 3 balls in I hit one straight down the ground and it went over the fence cleared the trees and into where the running track was, I thought he was going to fist pump me.

He stuffed me up though by pumping my tyres, I got out playing a stupid shot.

Coxy was the best one though, he made a howler just before drinks and on our way in I said "Don't you dare touch our sandwiches after that f*** up".

He leaned against the pole the whole break staring at our food then with about a minute to go I said "Go on mate, help yourself" he quickly went in for the kill.

First over after tea break, LBW, see you later.

Yeah the trick with Coxy was to make sure you chatted to him when you were at the non strikers end.... if you did that he was never giving you out.

Thought i'd have a look today - haven't paid much attention to performances this year.

You're certainly not without claims - should get the 3 votes Rd 3, two in Rd 5, one in Rd 9 and another 3 Rd 10.

Hanisch and Arifi should poll well as well as Dyl Wilson - that's probably the top 3 right there.

Haha few jacks deep when I posted that mate, I’ve got no chance.. pick up a few but definitely not enough to push for it! Can’t see any of our boys getting close tbh, nug been the only bloke hitting runs but has missed a lot of games and then the bowling been spread out a bit! Our performances have been well rounded all year which hopefully helps us coming into finals

Using my expertise I have the following up until now.
13: Arifi, Hanisch.
12: Knapp.
11: Wilson, Lord.
10: Big Carl.

I had Big Carl on 9 votes after 3 rounds.

Yep, Corfield got the 3 ahead of Gent and Sparkes.

Carl got my 3 in rounds 1,2 & 5, I gave him a vote in round 6 too.

Although I doubt whether Don would've given you guys votes in the ATCO debacle.

Robbing me..

1 v Smithfield - Rd 8
1 v ATCO - Rd 9
1 v Central United - Rd 11

May get lucky and snag a vote against Craimore Rd 6.

I've got me on 4. 8)

You might get a sympathy vote against the Units but clean sweeps in the others.

Yeah alright got me there. :(

Smithfield i'm going Zac Owen 3, Aaron Lord 2 and Schael Wall 1... maybe.. Wall got me out with a yuck full toss and then picked up a couple of late poles against the tail. Benno picked up two very important wickets including Indian Carl for 1.

ATCO will be Brett D'Antonio 3, Luke Childs 2 and Jayden Wilton 1.

Snap x 2.

Most of the umps just look at the book, write down the top couple of run scorers and wicket takers from each innings then go home to sort it out later.

I'll re-iterate "most" though, there's been the odd occasion where a double hundred accompanied by a 3fa have been mistakenly overlooked.
