I have Friday off and playing a 4 man ambrose with some mates and we're going to get on the gas with the tunes cranking in the buggies and spend the rest of the day out on the deck at the golf club. Definitely recreation and no comp.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.

Went and played front 9 of Mt Compass on Saturday, only my 4th game of the year  course is in great shape, some very long rough that ball is basically lost if you go in there but they have left the fairways and 1st cut of rough very wide so you have to be way off course to get into the long stuff.

Missed a 3 footer for birdie on the 1st, put my approach in the water on the 3rd but was bloody happy stading on the 8th tee at 3 over, of course thats when things caught up with me and had an 8. Finished with a 44 and wishing we played 18.

Will definitely head back soon though, and with kids sports cancelled hopefully one of the next 2 weekends.

What's the reasoning?

Nothing released by Golf Australia yet...

Grange still have comps, just cant touch flag and rakes removed. Score own card or do the app like most do these days anyway. No comps just makes no sense

Grange now stopped comps from tomorrow until further notice. Still can play in groups of four.

Played at Yarrambat today - North East of the Melb CBD.

Reasonable track, probably an Aston Hills/Mt Barker equivalent. Par 72 though.

Pretty happy with a front 9 of 43 which included a 4 putt on a par 3 for triple bogey 6!

Wheels fell offa bit on the back 9 carded 49, which included an 8 on the par 3 16th.

Hot and humid, more than a few beers deep now into recovery.

Playing again in a fortnight.

Never seen so many Roos on a golf course, literally hundreds of em.

Played Victor on Sunday. Really top nick.

Had 33 points, driving was horrid to be truthful, but putting with the new Super Stroke grip was pretty decent.

Do yourself a favour and have a hit down there if you can.

Yarrambat today.

Raised the bat....out in 54 back in 46. A Robran (10) on a par 3, which included a double hitler (4 shots in the bunker) not helping.

8 beers in on the recovery, or is that to erase the memory banks?!?

Played Loxton last Tuesday, beautiful day and we were the only ones on the course so played as a group of 6.

Great course when you are on the short green stuff, not so pleasant when you aren't.

Had a horrible day with the driver, rest of the game was pretty good. 51 on front 9 and 45 coming home, including a birdie on the 18th to finish the day.

Was bogey or better for 15 holes, but had 3 horror holes.

Everyone we spoke to talked about how they have ****** up Renmark GC, Berri looked in good nick when we drove past.

Youngest son has decided to take up golf, some.of his mates are members at Tea Tree Gully so we are.going to sign him up... $88 per year for 7 day membership...

When I was a junior there 30 years ago it was $180 a year and you couldn't play on Saturday unless you were in the pennant teams...

Kids these days, don't know the struggles we had ;)

Ive got the bug for golf big time. I had about 3-4 years away from the game even sold clubs. End of November i got a second hand set off fb for $200 minus a putter and no sand wedge plus had just a basic driver (hard to find a set for a lefty). So went and got a putter straight up which nearly cost the same as the clubs and bag i got. Played a round with the clubs then straight after went and got a new driver and a lob wedge. Ive now played 8 rounds at various courses and also got a 3 wood a hybrid and 52 (my favourite club) now ive got 2 more to play before im back at work. The last one is at TTG just around the corner from home. So after this week im looking to join up to there 61/2 day membership and they have a deal atm saving $550 so its a no brainer for me lol
