It's not like they'd be short of a dollar, you reckon they'd move the family from Perth or Sydney to Adelaide for $100k a year when they're about to retire into T20 shit around the globe? Leave the Mrs at home, piss off to India for 12 weeks and pull $400k or move the whole shooting match to Adelaide for $150k?

If we could offer them a too good to refuse figure then do it, but what are 1st class contracts, $100k or more top end + BBL another $30-40k?

If they've got coaching aspirations maybe, but these blokes know the rabble SACA is, be like trying to get Dustin Martin to North Melbourne, you'd end up with Jared Polec. ;)

They get to bat twice every game and only field once quite often.

Marsh and Usman don’t play IPL now do they?
Though as you’ve mentioned there is no real reason to come here but they could make it a dual player/mentor/assistant coach role perhaps.

SACA need to do something otherwise they might as well shut the doors and just play big bash cricket.

I don't think they do anymore, but the comparison is still true, 12 weeks in India for shit loads or move the whole family to Adelaide for $150k, Wouldn't do it.

IPL is a different time of the year to SS - they could do both.

There is benefit to relocating to Adelaide, whilst everyone who lives in the state seems to hate it, it's actually a pretty nice state to live in. Cost of living, close proximity of everything, reasonable weather.. worse places someone could live.

S. Marsh has a FC average of 41 hardly a class above.

Unfortunately the other test fringe players average less then that.

Starc absolutely spat it when Nevill declared. Stood in the middle looking back at him as if to say are you serious, then when he left the field he threw his bat then threw one of his gloves

I can understand Starc, never made a first grade century, Nevill should have said will give you couple of overs to get there (assume by his reaction that did not happen) and let him hit out, only needed a couple of big hits.

IPL and SS yes, they aren't on at the same time normally, I'm talking about the money they earn. Could earn 3x as much in the IPL and not have to move everything to Adelaide.

PS - I love Adelaide, best place on earth to live, but I wouldn't move here just to play for the Redbacks.
