Pucovski is probably next cab off the rank though. I think Burns will play the first test but he'd want to make runs.

Kurt Patterson is another who I'm keeping my eye on but after the start to the season he's had I think his test average will remain at 144 for a while.

burns 46 from four innings this season

pucovski 457 runs for once out

Will comes in surely for Monty you'd think. Burns has a history of failing every second innings throughout his entire career. Watched Puc bat yesterday and his concentration levels are immense. He's not going to rack up double tons against India but you'd have to back him in for longer occupation for the crease this summer than Burns. That only helps guys like Marnus, Smith and Wade.

Leading wicket taker almost LOL. Poor bugger, learning his craft while the main strike bowlers aren't getting wickets. He'd go much better behind a decent strike attack in my view. He bowls some great deliveries but lets the pressure off far too often. I really think he's a talent but could do with a spell after that mauling. If they let him cop that all summer they'll ruin him forever.

9/154, FFS.
Swepson 5/55 from 24 overs, getting the job for Queensland once again and should be the second spinner in the Australian test squad if the selectors want to pick one to assist Lyon.
