I wasnt trying to say relax the restrictions on quarantine...probably worded it poorly. I'm just scared how easily this is going to break out again when travel without quarantine eventually gets lifted.

myself? no.

but there are businesses out there that would like to allow their patrons to do so.

seriously, covid marshalls (what a joke, whos making money off that idea), seated drinking still, limits on parties, weddings and funerals still, its all bs. no one in the community has it.

its easy enough to bring restrictions back if we somehow start getting community transmission again. but how will we if high risk travellers are all being quarantined properly?

Won’t happen in the next 12 months for the majority of countries that come here. We will set up a few small travel bubbles with countries such as NZ and possibly Singapore, Taiwan in the next 6 months but that will be all

Being in Brisbane over the weekend, life is completely normal for them again. Only change being they have to scan a QR code and sign in and each hospitality venue (as you would for RSL Clubs anyway) for contact tracing purposes. Once inside, dance floors are full and you'd think it was 2019 again.

counts as far as im concerned.

we were due to go there earlier this year for our first ever overseas trip. spent $900 bucks on passports for the family in early january, which would have to go down in history as my worst ever purchase, and lets just say it had some stiff competition

think i may email the fed government and ask for a pro rata refund once we are finally able to use them again. not that ill get anywhere with that request, but it may make me feel better

If you start a class action then count me in. Got mine + the crotchfruit's passports renewed in the early months of this year - just in time for the borders to be locked down.
