A trip in the morning to Edithburgh with the pushies for a ride around town then the same at Stansbury with lunch included in the visit.

Back to Vincent for a punt and watch my horse run, hang about there for dinner and then the GF.

I'm astounded that I have never been to any of the 3 places, done pretty much the rest of Yorke's.

Despite not staying their since i was a kid Stansbury is my fav out of those 3, used to spend several weekends a year over there but it hasn' changed much with the beautiful pine trees along the esplanade. Pub has great views too.
Enjoy!

Cheers, Booney has advised me it's a great place for lunch.

LOL, Balf needs 4.5 hours to get through 2 beers. I'll be reserving my beer intake until I'm back at Vincent and sitting in the Vettnor, it's going to be a decent innings from about 2:30 onwards there.

Upon Booney's recommendation to go to Port Vincent I must say it ticked all the boxes, not a skerrick of litter anywhere, a very tidy town.

Stayed in a cabin on Minlacowie Road, well priced with al the amenities we required.

The Ventnor hotel was a nice place for a punt on Saturday arvo and a feed, a tad on the pricey side for drinks and the food but everything else made up for it.

Traveled for the first time to Stansbury, Edithburgh, Yorketown and the Ardrossan on the way home.

Stansbury: Nice looking place, could see us staying there.
Edithburgh: Didn't think much of it, went to dine in for breakfast but the prices of the two cafe's were ridiculous.
Yorketown: Lovely place, bigger than I thought, the bakery supplied me with one of the best peppered steak pie I've ever had, the Foodland had a great well priced variety in their deli section.
Ardrossan: Yeah nah, stopped at the bakery but the pie matched the presentation of the shop.

Going to explore much more of the YP in the next 12 months, I'm pissed off it's taken me this long to appreciate what's in our own backyard.

The best thing about Yorkes is it feels like you are nowhere near a city, almost instant relaxation as soon as you arrive over there.

It was my first venture down the eastern side of the peninsula, five minutes after turning left at the roundabout you have the water in eyesight to the left of you for the whole journey, I totally get what you're saying.

2 more days before 3 weeks holiday just in time before the Christmas chaos at work begins. Driving up to FNQ via the NT, something I haven’t done in almost 20 years as we usually fly up. Decided for a change a scenery this time around

Me Saturday morning "Listen to the waves rolling in, how relaxing hey"
Her "I think it's the wind"
Me "Don't ruin my imagination please"

Me Sunday morning "Listen to the waves rolling in, how relaxing hey?"

Having my first hit of cricket this Saturday for the town we now call home and plan on calling home forever.

The town is extremely passionate about their cricket, whilst my days of contributing and performing strongly are long gone it feels really nice to genuinely represent you area/town. That's not something I have always done in my career. My city clubs were Eastern Park and Atco which aren't necessarily dedicated to an individual suburb.

Getting to experience a heap of new grounds and new opponents is always refreshing as well.

I've said that a few times to my family and friends. As soon as I get to Wallaroo/North Beach, it's instant relief. It's like I'm a million miles away from home and I love it up there.

Yeah Port Neill is my fave spot. Fishing is fantastic. As soon as you leave Whyalla, you're in a new world. Everyone waves and it's very relaxed.
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No
Well you haven't seen everything then have you.
