Yep, looked more composed going into time-on in the first, momentum swung with the first goal and have gone on with it in a big way so far.

56 to 6 - Score-wise, that would have to be the most one sided SANFL Grand Final quarter ever, surely?

I know the 'Dogs' best in the record win against the Eagles in '04 was 48 to 6 in the 3rd.

Even though I predicted it, it doesn't make it any easier, well done and we'll deserved Eagles. I posted on here pre season Jade Sheedy was having a huge influence at Oval Ave and I expected good things. Eagles have been the best team all year and clearly were the best side today. Congratulations WWT, have a great night. Awesome effort in a difficult year.

It's a GF, fight to the end, pride in the guernsey,

The goal flow stemmed in the third, only two goals to the Eagles and one of those to their main man. Trouble for North is that they still lost the quarter.

Attendance 17,038.

Not bad really considering the way attendance was discouraged including by making it very difficult for those without smartphones.

Forgetting the crowd figure, the smartphone excuse is a cop out. If you are in the minority of football supporters & don’t have one, you would have to have a relative/friend/workmate/carer who has a device they could’ve lent you for the day.

I suspect that a printout of the QR code would work as well as a smartphone.

The sting is gone out of this game. Woodville ought to be burying the chooks at this point.

Just for shits and giggles, can someone from North call for a count??
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

It wasn't a problem for me, but I know of some folks for whom it was a problem. Borrowing a device is one thing; using it another. Given the demographics that attend the SANFL I would've thought a provision could be made for paper tickets, and I think the crowd figure supports this.

Very average game and the kicking from both sides was poor most of the day.

Congratz Eagles fans, easily the best team all year and a deserved premiership. May the car doors be slamming well after 10 pm at Woodville tonight!

Sorry, wasn't personal but nope, can't agree with you. Applies to those on the field and in the outer as a club. Twelve straight years being in the thick of it taught me that lesson, particularly 2010 and '11.

Anyway, commiserations. Going down in the big one is never easy, regardless of the margin.

Edit:- Well done Eagles, you and your fans have been through more than your share of frustration and heartache in the major round over the years, so savour the feeling tonight and in the weeks to come. You've earned it.
