So you aren't going and will only go after if they win. . Strong.

LOL . Good try to jump on though.

Norwood belted Sturt in the U18’s GF at Thebby today. Some real talent running around out there and some real quality coming through

Didn't expect to be in this position at the start of the year but will be bitterly disappointed if we lose. I believe our best is good enough but we have to bring our best as too often in the past we haven't. Lonergan will have an important role against North's big bodied mids and Mansell, who missed 99% of the second semi needs to control North's small forwards. I don't expect Goldy to play which is a huge blow as he was BOG IMHO last week. Hopefully Sheedy's different approach to past coaches will get us over the line with a bit more 'taking the game on' approach.

I reckon I felt more confident two years ago against Norwood when we we outsiders, than I do today. Perhaps it's inbuilt pessimism as someone who seen some rather average North grand final efforts, I don't know.

At any rate, Eagles deserve to be the favorites IMO, but North have the game plan, personnel, and attitude to win today, and the confidence that they can beat the Eagles despite being superior on paper plus an excellent recent record at Adelaide Oval. Interesting to see who comes in for both sides, and particularly whether Hartung takes the field, as his his pace, skill, and AFL experience could be an x-factor for North. I think Tanner Smith's inclusion will be is important as well, as his height and experience will be necessary if North are to successfully match up against the Eagles' tall forwards.

Hopefully there's a decent crowd given it's the biggest game of the year, but all the COVID restrictions plus the difficulty in getting tickets off-the-cuff is probably going to dent the overall figure. Certainly going to be weird having no-one on the hill.

Go Roosters!!

Best of luck to both side and and their supporters today. I was oddly really certain we’d lose in 2018 and the Bays would win last year, but this year I just don’t know. Maybe North by 8 points. Here’s to a good game

Go eagles!!

I've feeling confident that we will win but we must ensure the following:

- come out showing intensity
- this intensity must be about going hard at ball and body not weak, cheap shots behind the play
- discipline. We cannot be giving away 50m penalties, getting into fights that cause umpires to reverse decisions
- don't overuse the footy with lots of dinky handpasses and chips sideways when one long kick will suffice. Lets play like we did earlier in the year
- the first option is the best option. Don't overthink. Just keep pumping the footy forward to put the pressure on.

No rain forecast so we must make use of our big guys who can take a grab - the Hayes boys, Von Bertouch. Even Redden.

Excellent post.

Fair to say the Eagles are due, but I think North will get the job done today. Eagles in the Bs.

Foote very lucky to score Eagles' first goal, insofar as a blatant head-high tackle on a North player was missed 2 seconds before it.
