My team has 7 days of cricket between now and January 9th. 7 days. Barely worth it.

Would have liked 5 divisions of 6 teams in the 2 dayers rather than 3 of 8 and 1 of 5.
Same for the LO divisions. 4 divisions of 7 with crossover byes, probably better to have 2 divs of 8 and 2 of 6 teams and no crossovers.

Fixtures down.

Enfield have gone up to fill the bye in Grade 4... suspect a team from LO4 will get pushed up to LO3 and make LO4 a 6 team div, no byes, no crossover games.

Every club was asked at the pre season meeting - all clubs chose to play, not one voted for the Saturday off.

Really surprised with that.

If Port make the GF we could see record numbers of forfeits.

The real bullshit is Enfield going to Grade 4 to remove the bye.. and we get slugged with 5 road trips in a row including Dublin and Two Wells.. then home for 2 one dayers before 3 more on the road once again including Dublin and Two Wells.

Really got ****** over with that one.

I forgot about the later GF, still reckon a Port GF might have a big impact. Would league consider starting games a couple of hours earlier or even 12pm.

Are many of the attendees at the preseason meeting players?

Quite a few - would say majority.

The question was posed to clubs in the lead up and expected to answer at the pre-season meeting. If those clubs didn't take that back to their players to discuss then that's on them.

Dublin will be really hoping they can get the likes of Goss to bowl a bit fuller than half way down the deck going back into grade 1 this year!

Happened to glance a look at the Dublin clearances last night.. they've really gone hard this year on their return to Grade 1 - Would've thought they could almost field a 3rd side with the influx.

**** were you drunk?!

"Those who would like to leave the fixture as is and play, raise your hands..."
"Those who don't or want change, raise your hands.."

There was also plenty of opportunity to speak up before that vote, but everyone sat there in silence.

Firstly, I can see there were two, possibly three people who managed to get out on the first ball of the season, well done fella's.

Just checking out some results and well done to North Pines lasting the full 70 overs against Salisbury West to be 9/248 at stumps, Hibbert and Sharkey scored 69 and 50 respectively.

The Westies line up was lacking some regulars with Jones opening the bowling, Ward filling Willi's role with 2/21 from 11 overs, Travvy only managed 4 overs and a couple of young lads in Soloman Sharma and Baz Alizai chewing through 18 overs between them for a combined return of 3/95.

Nato and Craig Figallo took 9/74 between them from 40 overs against Eastern Park as they managed 164, we'll know who scored runs in three weeks when they enter their scores on mycricket.

Dublin's South Gawler recruits both scored tons as the finished on 4/338 vs NEK.

PGCC scored 9/232 vs Angle Vale with Dylan Taylor tonning up.
HOGG SHIELD DIVISION V WINNER 2018.
