Rightio Crow boys, who goes at seasons end?

Out of contract :

Taylor, Crocker, Keays, B Crouch, MacKay, Himmelberg, Galluci, Strachan, Hartigan, Poholke, Wilson, Knight, Stengle, Atkins

Over 28 :

Gibbs ( 1 year to run on contract ), Walker ( 1 ), MacKay ( 0 ), Lynch ( 1 ), Seedsman ( 1 ), Smith ( 1 ), Hartigan ( 0 ), Talia ( 1 )

I've left Sloane out as he has 3 years to run and isn't going any where. You would think Mackay and Hartigan, both out of contract and over 28 won't get another deal. Knight, Atkins and Galluci look unlikely to get another deal.

Do they cut ties with Gibbs and another, Lynch perhaps?

Who else?

They gotta play Gibbs IMO, they're paying for him so they may aswell get some use out of him.

They need to designate a few older heads to rotate and mentor the kids coming through, probably only play 1 on each line though at the same time, they need these kids fast tracked with experience and need to identify and be harsh on who doesn't cut it.

They've gotta keep B.Crouch and Himmelberg out of your first line, along with Stengle, I don't know enough about the others but their names haven't exactly been tossed around a lot.

They can't really do anything with your list of over 28's, get rid of McKay and Hartigan as you've stated, Walker won't retire and will be too much dead money to get rid of, the rest are worthy of 1 year deals each new year as they won't attract attention from rival clubs.

I'd move Crocker on also, I don't think he's added much this year & no point playing him over one of their young kids who they need to know if can play at the level.

Gone for me on the top line would be- Crocker, Gooch, Wilson, Knight & probably MacKay although he has been hardly their worse player this year. I don't know enough about Strachan to comment on him. Atkins for a late 2nd or 3rd round pick I think they should take also if it comes to help build draft index points for NGA & FS prospects.

I'd offer Hartigan the minimum amount possible for a year, as a back up for when Talia doesn't play. Need at least one big back playing weekly to support the kids like Fisher Mac.

Reckon they will trade in Harrison Petty from Melbourne, SA lad who can play down back & not getting a look in at the Dees.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Not listed yet, which is odd.

But, given the rolling fixture the broadcasters and probably still working out which ones they pay for.

Surely depends on squad sizes next season doesn't it?

If it's 35 in the squad then that opens up a different conversation about Gibbs and the rest of Adelaide's trade-able players as they become worth very little.

Not a great time to try and rebuild IMO.

Gibbs was playing golf with the rest of them yesterday.
Odds are he won't be there next year yes, but not sure they've parted ways yesterday.

Jars said he'd 'heard' that Gibbs was told he won't be getting a senior game at the Crows either this year or next.

Might be true but Jars would have somewhere between zero and two fifths of stuff all idea what's actually going on there.

I like the idea of Gibbsy and Scotta back at the Bays next year...

The bullish!t and ridiculousness of the AFL industry will exposed in that Adelaide will probably be paying Gibbsy the equivalent of an SANFL club’s salary cap to get him off their playing list if this scenario eventuates
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I reckon you aren't too far off with this one stampy. Not sure if they are the worst but the are up there with Freo 2000, Melbourne 2008, Fitzroy 95-96, and Sydney and Brisbane 91-93.

Apparently Rucci commenting this morning on SEN that a Crows player has agreed to terms with Gold Coast. Rumoured to be Atkins. We couldn't be that lucky.
