I agree, I reckon it was 20% "We're worried" and 80% "You'll do as you're told". I'm ok with that, people are dropping their guard.
I went for a feed at The Lakes on Saturday night, a 60th birthday party with all of the group looking full blown champagne sipping cashed up Boomers was a hug/kiss/congregate calamity. All over each other, big groups in huddles, was a little unnerving.
Yeah im happy with the government making a power play if it puts everyone in line.
Hate to say it but from what I have seen the biggest culprit of not abiding by social distancing laws/rules is pubs/clubs and community sport.
Went to a local game on the weekend and nothing has changed, I had to prompt the gate attendant to take my name down as part of the contact tracing and saw plenty of 6 blokes in the back of a ute lol. Plenty of handshakes and hugs after the game with family/friends etc.
