I sit at the bar so I can hear and see the racing, if they moved the screens it wouldn't bother me to sit elsewhere, I need bionic eyes to see the screens from the seated area and you can't stand up to watch the race.

Really dumb question but am actually genuinely asking as I may be having a blonde moment.

If we can somehow get through this second wave without having to lockdown, how do we prevent a third wave???

Got to be honest im on edge about what I could lose out on as well as my job security if we go into a second lockdown.

Question I’m sure we are all asking ourselves.

How long can we continue to enforce and release restrictions in fear of something? How long until people are completely fed up? How many “waves” do we need to ‘manage’?

Not a dumb question at all. The federal government in conjunction with states have adopted a suppression strategy, so until we find a vaccine we should expect there will be further waves. The bigger question and greater concern is, what happens if we are unable to develop a vaccine?

State government yesterday was just a casual muscle flex to show everyone they’re still in control and can put shit in place at the drop of a hat.

Their concern is community transmissions, it's a pain in the arse but it's fair enough, I think we're just lucky, I see bugger all social distancing happening.

Agree social distancing has gone out the window in recent times.

20,000 at the football around strangers, or 10 people at home with people you know. Strange rules in this state.

I agree, I reckon it was 20% "We're worried" and 80% "You'll do as you're told". I'm ok with that, people are dropping their guard.

I went for a feed at The Lakes on Saturday night, a 60th birthday party with all of the group looking full blown champagne sipping cashed up Boomers was a hug/kiss/congregate calamity. All over each other, big groups in huddles, was a little unnerving.
