I guess there was little option from a volunteer perspective, especially with the away club having all 4 other teams down there.

Am i missing something?
Reynella play you at aldinga, why dont you get a return home game at pig park?

We don't, we play at Reynella 11/7 and then on 15/8 Reynella play Aldinga at Aldinga in all grades up to B grade and then Flaggies slot into the A grade spot to ensure Reynella have all 5 games at one venue.

Few players starting to come in via the transfers. Christies forward line looking dangerous with Nobes and Spencely.

It appears there are 4 neutral A grade games at Aldinga. This means all 9 clubs get 4 home gates even with one of those clubs only fielding B grade and juniors.

Cove B grade coach only appointed less than -10 -12 weeks ago as no one wanted role has already parted ways with club. Had a background involved in a higher level of footy and player skill development.

Flaggies v reynella was a decent game till just after half time yesterday, then experience and bigger bodies won out in the last quarter.
Pretty tough contest up until then.
Shoes v Christies must have been a cracker!
No more easy games in the comp anymore.

Was a good contest at Reynella yesterday, and one of the bigger crowds I've seen there for a while. Was impressed with the Wine Flies, apart from playing 7 minutes with an extra man on the field! They will push for a finals spot I reckon. Where did Damien Arnold go?

A bit of biff in the Shoes/Christies game? Red cards given out. Beach deserve the premiership favourites tag after that performance.

HV over Porties a surprise?

Why didn't they do a count? 7 minutes is a long time.
Bit of agro in the game.
2 opponents deserved the yellows given out. Well umpired I thought....that bit.
It was free kick hawthorn for a while there.
Damon went to unley but may be on crows reserve list not sure.
Who got the reds?

Arnold is at Unley. I believe he made it on to the 2020 Crows SANFL top up list but that's irrevelant now.

Amazing that the Wine Flies A grade coach, team manager and president do not know the send off rules. For Flaggies no drama in the first round but would not expect the same courtesy in a knock out final!

Ah so reynella didn't actually have 19 on the ground. Is that what you're saying.
The sent off player was replaced?

Send off (both a Reynella and a Flaggy player) was about 3 mins before the end of the quarter, when the next quarter commenced Reynella had 18 v 17.

It is a bit confusing as we have found in SANFL Juniors you can replace a yellow carded player but in the SFL you can't, seems its up to each league handle it differently.

You'd think the umps may have done a count at the start of the 2nd quarter?

Shouldn't be confusing at senior level for a club that has been in the SFL for years and years. If they went with the old chestnut "we thought the quarter time break counted as part of the 10 minutes" then they should still get a fine for being stupid.

This is where SFL and GSFL let themselves down by being one of the few competitions around Australia not to adopt the 6-6-6 law for starting positions.

With the forcing function of boundary umpires having to do a count after each goal it makes it easy to determine whose out of position or doing a North Adelaide (playing with an extra player).
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

I disagree, the 666 was brought in by the AFL to make scoring higher which has not occurred and some fell in line behind a rule that has not worked.

The time keepers for me are at fault.
