Heading to Berri for the second week of School holidays. Looking to do a bunch of Day trips through the Riverland.

Any tips? (Family consisting of MatteeG, Mrs G, Master 10 and Miss 7).

We'll do Monash one day but others open for suggestion. (Whilst I'd love just 5 days of golf this wont be happening LOL)

Woolshed Brewery has to be on the cards and Berri Golf Club has a midweek comp every Wednesday so you can use my buggy if you want a round. You should check out the Mallee Fowl Restaurant as well. Berri Caravan Park has a very good putt putt golf set up there too. Not certain on stuff for the kids though sorry. Where in Berri are you staying?

Our annual boys weekend in Quorn all booked, we've decided to go even though there won't be any races on and support the town regardless.

Two for one meals at the Berri Pub Monday nights and Big River Tavern (Golf Club) have kids eat free with any paying adult Thursday nights so that might be worth a look too.

Change of plans, now heading to the Barossa Sunday/Monday/Tuesday next week, have always found the Barossa a bit dull compared to McLaren Vale, esp when I just found out my fav restuarant Fermet Asian isn't open when we are there, suggestions? Any craft breweries worth checking out?

Had a great week in Berri with the fam.

Pub meals were good and Highlights for me were the 23rd St Distillery tour and tasting as well as the Woolshed Brewery. That place is deadset awesome. Would be fantastic to rock up there in a houseboat and laze the day away with some tasty brews.

Kids surprisingly loved the Monash playground, I thought it may be a bit tame for em but they forced our hand for a couple of return trips.

Had ripping weather too.

Next time will be with golf clubs :)

We did that but the only downer was it was about 45 degrees!
Highlight was 5 of us stagger down the hill drunkenly to the houseboat through the scrub on a treacherous quick path unscathed while the missus did the right thing and went down the pathway and fell arse over tit.
The hard lemonade went down a treat in the heat.

I'm not travelling anywhere there may be crowds or carelessness yet.

I may look at somewhere well away from Victoria (or NSW) later in the year if there is no greater spread.
WA or north Qld looks most attractive so far...

The distillery and the woolshed are must do’s.
Love the woodshed.

What’s the joint on the steamboat in Renmark?
Been there a couple of times and it’s always a good feed.

With our birthday Bali trip all but cancelled we have booked in for a week at the Renmark Big 4 caravan park for a week in early December, going to have a couple of boats and jetski up there for skiing and cruising the river. Havent spent much time up that way in recent years so look forward to checking it all out.

Great weekend as always up in Quorn, races on or not.

Turned off at Crystal Brook, beer there. Into Laura, beer there. Awesome pepper pie at Stone Hut, outstanding. Into Melrose. Yep, two, actually. Onto Wilmington, well, needed a piss.

All the pubs were actively monitoring their COVID guidelines, all of them happy to see travellers coming through and most of them said they got through the shut down ok, most of them kept doing meals at least.

Looked nice a green through the region, obviously had plenty of rain as everything in the paddocks looked as healthy as can be.
