He’s an “outside” dog. Vet tells the missus Arlo can’t get wet for 14 days after the snip. Pissing down rain today & tomorrow, once again, he’s an outside dog. This is gonna be a fun f#cking fourteen days...

Seems odd. We had our 12-month-old BC male desexed last Friday. He was a bit out of sorts for a couple of days with the big collar on his head to stop him licking, but up and about again Sunday. The vet used internal stitches for him and with his post-op visit last Monday, he's healed really well.
Good luck keeping him dry ;)

Good to hear. He’s getting a bucket around his neck & having the internal stitches that dissolve too. He’ll be loving himself sick being inside with the kids.

Sweet, that is good. Kids will love it too.
The Vet didn't recommend taking the collar on and off, but after 24 hours we kept it off when we could watch him.
I apologise.

Who says he ignores it? From what I can see it gets walked twice daily, once before it digs a hole and once after.

Perhaps he wouldn't dig so many holes if he didn't get bored and crave attention.

Perhaps leave him inside alone and he can chew the couch instead.

Sorry Spargo, it sounds like i'm having a crack but it's more a general thing as opposed to you personally - i just dont understand why people have animals and don't let them inside when the family is home.

He gets walked regularly, taken to the dog park regularly, taken to the beach regularly, goes in the car for school pick ups/drop offs, taken/walked to the shops, goes with the kids when they ride their bikes & scooters, got taken to the kids sport when it was on, taken to friends/relatives houses to play with their dogs & kids, swims in the pool with us, runs under the sprinkler with the kids, wants to get on the trampoline when the kids are on there, will go to the pub with me when it re opens, not to mention the endless cuddles he gets from not only the kids but my wife & I.

Each to their own.
I have a 38kg Dalmatian lap dog
We have a dog flap so he can go in and out as he pleases but when we are home he chooses inside 100% of the time. When we are not home, he's got a choice between outside or laundry (where the dog flap goes into).

I love dalmations - the Patful family had a dalmation called Dougal, he was a serial humper
