Correct, A.B. played for NSW from 1976/77 to 1979/80, including when he made his Test debut in 1978/79.

Come on TDK, you're better than that. The oval of Border's old Sydney Grade Club Mosman is called Allan Border Oval so he is has two ovals named in his honour, the other of course being Allan Border Field in QLD.

Those NSW greatest shield teams are clearly based on performance in the SS for NSW hence why Katich and Bevan make the first 11 and Trumper, Smith, S.Waugh and Walters only make the third 11.

This team was picked by Colin Clowes in his book 150 years of NSW First Class Cricket A Chronology
This team was selected in during the 2006-2007 season
One criteria was that players had to start their careers playing for NSW

14-95 bowling average

Was a decent bowler for New South Wales, and Australia
Must have been a good bowler , even looks a bit like Dennis FOT Lillie
