Riverside, had enough available but not enough wanted to step up from the B's.

Should only be able to forfeit your lowest grade and work your way up
Eg if your 1st team forfeits that means that you forfeit all grades

The Bedge wrote:Interesting finish coming up in Grade 3 between Enfield & One Tree Hill.
OTH rolled Enfield for 103 pretty comfortably, then appeared to be cruising to victory before a spirited finish had the Goats 6/86 at stumps - still 17 runs in arrears.
Was a little fortunate they were able to knuckle down though, apparently had a couple players leave early so only had 8 wickets in the shed - two more poles and innings would've been over.
Also interesting they have Lister coming back this week, but his week one player has already been dismissed so they miss out on their best bat getting a hit.

The Pines had a day out against Owenfield as they belted 260 thanks to Nuske (75) and Freeman (59), Big Johnny made 46 as the visitors are 6/76 in reply.
ATCO managed 186 against a Keylock-less Royals outfit, Abraham Darlow collected 4 wickets for the Royals in his return match for the club. The Royals are 1/3 in return, it all hinges on BJ but I think the Hornets have enough here.
Dave Ritzema and Scott Bradshaw have led the Units to 9/233 with 67 and 57 respectively, at a guess, Scott has made more runs this season than the rest of his career put together, batting well above his average on the field too. Units to get the cookies, Davey to pick up a 5 fa.
Craigmore posted 245 against the Knights, McMinn managing 82, the home side are 1/58 in reply as the teams are NEK and neck, the Knights for mine. No LB Coxy officiating.

I'm backing Daniel Foran to get a 40 odd too.
Gardens limped to 150 after being 8/79, Marsden and McConnell scoring 30's and Dowling's 2 from 44 balls was pivotal, young spinner Jayden Forrester picked up 7/36 for the Vale, Vale 0/14 at the close of play, you'd think they'll run them down.
Eastern Park scored 285 against Virginia, Tucker's tonned up, a few 3 fa's for Virginia but nothing to write home about, I think they have enough but you never know with Virginia.

Was having a chat Sat night about people playing in certain grades, or players who feel they've 'earned' their chance to play lower, also that youth should be promoted where possible so you dont have washed up old blokes holding up the higher grades.
Question is, do you think there comes an age when players should begin moving down grades, or purely when ability stops them from doing so? Is there such thing as players "paying their dues" and earning the right to play in a lower grade?
