Yep, used to be a great format, head to the Oval on a Sunday afternoon for a few froffies and a hit with the kids on the hill, end up having a heap of randoms come and join in.

CA only care about the $$ and BBL is where the $$ are at these days - they don't care about what the people really want.

Thought the old system of having a shield game followed by a 50 over game worked well.

Can’t see why that can’t happen still

He is thick as a brick, lucky he has his cricket.

Can't believe Carey was not named captain, maybe expecting him not to be around much this year either, so give Lehmann a go while he is still around to help him out.

Squad for JLT
Batters: Weatherald, Ferguson, Lehmann, Ross, Cooper
Keepers: Carey, Nielsen
Allrounder: Valente
Quicks: Mennie, Richardson, Worrall, Sayers, Johnson
Spinner: Zampa

Seems a slightly unbalanced squad. One batter short, one quick too many.

The actual XI is pretty good though. Yeah, we'll win this thing.

1. Weatherald
2. Carey
3. Ferguson
4. Cooper
5. Lehmann
6. Ross
7. Valente
8. Zampa
9. Mennie
10. Richardson
11. Worrall

Although wouldn't mind having Cooper open see how that goes.

Interesting if Winter is seen as a Duke specialist.

Sayers, Mennie, Worrall, Richardson, Winter.

Five into three (or maybe four) for the Shield attack doesn't go

No worries mate.

Nic Maddinson playing his first game for Victoria, listed at number 6. Cam White going around again makes up a strong middle order with Handscomb and Maxwell. Chris Lynn playing his first ODD match since 2013.
