It will be very close between Henley, Uni and Athelstone. Raggies still have to play Modbury a second time, which means these 3 teams are only separated by %. It will come down to two games;
Round 15 Athelstone v Henley
Round 17 Uni v Henley
Would be a massive achievement if Athelstone managed to stay up.

I reckon the current gap between 9th and 10th and the domination of St Peters in Div 2 is a good argument for only one up one down next year

Panel umpires train and are part of the "official" umpire group.. rec umpires are "social" umpires - generally former club B grade umpires etc. or retired players looking for a buck on the weekend.

Would have been real interesting indeed.laser wrote:jo172 wrote:In the less abstract imagine if the SPOC/Modbury D1/D2 swap had happenes. Given the tightness of the comp would be madness
Tend to agree, best SPOC I've seen and I reckon wouldn't be far off the mark in D1.

Round 17 clash will decide who goes down. Uni will need to beat Henley. If they can't, I'm tipping they will go down with Athelstone sneaking past them on percentage after they beat Modbury in round 18.
Big shock with Port Districts beating ROCS for a second time this season. Dizzies are locked in a three way go with PNU and PAOC for 4th and 5th. Princes have a really tough draw against Goodwood, Port Districts and ROCS. Even though they are all home games, I'm tipping they might be the ones to miss out.
