Gray had an arm free, why didn’t he use it to break his fall?
He seem to have no awareness.

Sling tackles are banned for a reason.
No one wants to see that.

I thought Friday nights game was bad.. this is on another level!

To top it off it has two of the most boring commentators, Russell and Gerard ******* Healy

Make that 4 with Pav and Dixon.
Boring as just like the game.

We have all played the game, there is only 1 intention when you do that.

Oh pleease you all complain the games too soft. The over reaction to incidents in the media and on social media is a disgrace. They are all football acts these days that get suspended, there is no dirty hits, the hysterics is beyond belief. That tackle if Gray doesnt get hurt doesnt get a mention. The Walker incident shouldve been a fine max even by todays standards seen as though we have gone down the path of the outcome rather than the action itself.
I still maintain suspensions should be reserved for non football acts like Lamb and Sicily this year. Fines for others, percentage of salary. We dont want players sitting out because somebody accidentally gets injured whilst someone is acting within the rules of the game, You are allowed to bump, you are allowed to tackle.

You’re being very general with your statements regarding “you all think the games gone too soft”.

Dumping someone in to the ground like that is not good mate. I’ve been guilty of it 15 years ago and everyone that’s played in those days done the same thing. A lot these heroes you want to hold on to are suffering pretty badly and because we want to hold on to what we thought was tough. There’s nothing tough about slinging a blokes head in to the ground.

The game hasn’t gone soft. Many of your childhood heroes would last 5 minutes when a 6’4 on baller who runs like the wind and weighs 100kgs hits them at full tilt at a 50/50 contest. Imagine if some of the shit that happened years ago was allowed to happen today. You would be waiting for someone to be killed on the field.

I dontr disagree with you, the Freo player wasnt to know that Gray didnt have the ball, players also dont protect themselves these days not that GRay could do anything. But i have seen similar incidents where the player hangs onto the ball instead of dropping it and bracing for the fall. i just think suspensions for football acts shouldnt apply. Have bigger fines. BUt you watch the hysterics over this ta\ckle, theyll be calling for him to miss 3-4 weeks as they were with Tex, FFS the guy wasnt even injured with Tex's incident, you could argue insufficient force or that it simply wasnt a reportable offence

The outrage of the tackle is unbelievable. 3-4 games and crap like that, it’s a 1 week penalty at worst

Horror day for Port, with their reserves being so pathetic there isn’t a lot of depth to cover for today’s losses

Not sure comparing yourself to the worse AFL team in the last 10 years or the worse Carlton team of all time will help much.
