Great win by Sturt. We are so much better with Riley in the side. Lost McAdam and Taggert to hamstrings in the same play up forward so only had one on the bench for 2 and a half quarters. Whenever North got within 4-12 points range we always found a way to kick a couple of quick ones and get a nice buffer again. Umpiring was absolutely terrible. Always good to win when it's 18v21 on the field.

I guess you'll tell me next the score was the wrong way round?

At one stage the count was 26-14 in Norths favour. Absolute ride and still couldn't win

North were actually +14 in frees seven mins into the last quarter (28-14). Sturt received the last six free kicks of the match.

Thanks mate looks like the SANFL updated the stats fromwhat I was looking on my mobile at so I humbly apologise to all, The free kicks were 28 to 20 and as I said Sturt stepped up a gear when the pressure was on and thoroughly deserved the win and I think the margin flattered us a little.

Great win with a very limited bench, shocking luck for Taggert with what looks like a very bad hammy and McAdam also. Great game by Kirkwood and probably the best I’ve seen Read play.
Terrible umpiring and ridiculous 25m penalties.
