As an avid pie lover I've never taken to the Mrs Mac pies, pastry too thick or something, it's been that long I can't think of what it was.

A cafe I walked past this morning was selling soup for $10.50 - A TAKEAWAY CUP!
Since when is pumpkin soup on the go, more than twice as expensive as two pints in happy hour at my local? This is outrageous.
The only thing more gobsmacking is that there are obviously people out there that walk among us, who are actually prepared to fork out their hard earned for this exorbitant price.
Staggering.

I've recently moved in my job from Mt Barker to the Southern Suburbs, which has been an eye opener to say the least, but one thing I have noticed is the difference in prices of the same goods, e.g. -

Bacon and Egg Sandwich - Mt Barker $10 minimum, Morphett Vale $5.80 - no difference in quality

Chicken Roll made to order - Mt Barker $11, Morphett Vale $7 - the cheaper one is actually nicer

Its like going back to the 90's down there! and yes some people are still living like that!
