Former Magpie Nick Madden will play his first Macca’s League game since 2013 when he lines up for Central against Adelaide on Saturday.

The 31-year-old – who played 55 Macca’s League games for Port – has been named at centre half-back for the Bulldogs, who have lost key defender Ryan Llewellyn and wingman Sam Milne to injury.

Riverland product Nick Gillard, defender Matthew White and Victorian recruits Frazer O’Gorman and Brody Mahoney have also been included in the 23-man squad.

Former Dockers ruckman Jack Hannath has been forced out of the line-up.

C: F. Fort, Goodrem, Jenner

HB: Barmby, Madden, Gillard

Adelaide draftee Darcy Fogarty will play his first Macca’s League match for the Crows against Central on Saturday.

Squeezed out of the Crows’ AFL line-up, Fogarty has been named at half-forward after making his debut for Glenelg last year.

He has been joined in the 23-man squad by development players Josh Wittwer, Doug Hadden, Aron Asfaha, Corey Davey and Aidan Offe.

At this stage, Myles Poholke, Riley Knight, Andy Otten and Jordan Gallucci have been called up for AFL duty.

C: Leigh, Wilson, Hill

HB: Costanzo, Hampton, Davey

Good job you didn’t witness our 2nd half against Westies last week - you may not have been so bullish!

Having said that, I’ve taken the plunge myself in anticipation of a positive reaction from our lot.

Happy to see Madden get an opportunity - he looks like a decent footballer from what I’ve seen so far
