he is a great coach and a very good bloke. i too played with silkys old man. it appears things at the higher level of the club have gone pear shape as compared to the years before when hahndorf where a force. what you needed you got, the cost was never discussed due to a certain someone who offset ALL player payments through sponsors from adelaide who had ABSOLUTE nothing to do with the club

who was the best coach Hahndorf had in your time M80?

1. richard hill. professional in every aspect. played b/ball, cricket and golf with him.
2. gary carlson. put hahndorf on the map with back to back premierships in 84/85. good coach.
3. lynton bishop. untried coach from noarlunga. brought discipline and hardness to take a bottom club to a G/F in his 1st year

Roos over Roosters 22.31 to 10.6 in a very windy day at Roo Park. I expect IB to in the finals comfortably.
Maybe a scoreline the opposite like 31.22 would have given our finals hope alive.

Big news just to hand A Grade coaching job is up for grabs. A. Bruce is a major contender for a Panthers gig in the SANFL after a couple of reserve seasons there previously, therefore not looking to re-sign.

what a day of footy at goat park bgrade went down in a tight game lofty prob won the game in the first quarter with 7 goals to 1 but from then on it was the strop campbell show he kicked 7 out of ibs next 11 goals and we only went down by around 10 pts
a grade was an absolute cracker the game seesawed through the first half with lofty gaining a small advantage . from there lofty turned it on and kicked a few in a row and were up by 4 going into the last from there they kicked the first few and then proceded to play like millionares to which ib finished full of run to kick the last few to go down by 4 to lapses cost the game but this will happen with young blokes and to there credit they stood up and had a full on crack. lost in the agrade first time round by 18 goals at home to turn that around to be in the game all day and go down by 4 is a huge effort . bring on next week..finals footy first time in div one finals for both senior teams in the same year ... 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
lets not forget the 14s are there as well after finishing top ..
and lastly welldone to the club for reappointing ex as coach for next year time to build something long term now boys :D :D

Does anyone know who finished third in Central Div? Given that Blackwood only just beat Hahndorf and Onka's smashed Bridgewater. I think there was only just over 1% seperating them both.

If scores printed are correct & the ladder details back on page 355 are accurate then Blackwood have just managed to hold on by approx 0.3%

Cannot confirm though as the HFL budget shows some slightly different %'s to the details on countryfooty.com for Blackwood, Onkas & IB... If the budget had for & against tallies it would help!

By my calculations Blackwood hold onto 3rd spot by .46 %.

So its off to Birdwood and Blackwood next weekend for the finals. If you want to know why its at Birdwood the Big O advised because of rotation !!

Based on yesterdays results it would be hard to pick a winner between Mt Lofty and Blackwood as they seem to both be inconsistent sides at times.

Onkas and IB will be a great rematch, hope the weather holds up as both these ovals can be ordinary after some rain.

Any chance of Big O getting off his big fat arse and updating the HFL Website? Given it's the most important time of the season it would be nice to see the final ladders.

I heard that it was the husband of the ex Secretary who used to update this information so that is why it is not current. Not sure that the Pres has those type of secretarial skills on his CV.

What a great day of football out at Heathfield! Both senior games were full of classy football. Both teams very hard at it but very fair and i think great example of the quality of the HFL. Not great that IB didnt win but atleast were in the finals and hopefully can mix it up and go alot further. Muffy starred early picking up 10 clearances in the first half and many possies. Solid games from Gazz Williams, Widdison and a bit of a find down back in Barton. Very poised and can hold his own in air and when it hits the ground he mops up very well. Was Gordon really that great for Lofty?

So is it Onkas v IB at Blackwood and Mt Lofty v Blackwood at Birdwood??
And what time do the games start now were in finals?

TDU are you serious mate? hard to pick a winner? weve beaten you boys again without any serious threat of losing, and beaten blackwood both times aswell. not to mention theyve only just gotten over the line against hahndorf.. be realistic mate, i know upsets happen but give credit whete credits due..

mop up, saw some sign of why muffy is rated so highly on sat.. kicked one of the best crumbing goals ive ever seen yesterday. but 10 clearances in the first half?? doubtful. if he did his kicks mustve ended up in a lofty boys hands.. hopefully for u lads naughtos good for next week, rate him as high as anyone over there. deadset gun. good runner with a massive kick.

think ib will be able account for onkas.. although m.penny on fire for the doggies 13 goals in 2 weeks, good lad.. chris shee the key to the outcome i think.
VOTE1 Tom Maslin for the seat of MAYO!!

what about the bs gts you guys faded a bit late in what was one of the best games of bgrade footy ive seen in years ..
consider his we had 2 blokes yellow carded and that equals a quarter and a half playing with 17 against 18 and had 2 of our best 3 out on sat ..would think if we meet again this could be an important factor but we still have plenty to worry about be fore that happens.. bring on the finals :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

GTS, the week before that Blackwood got over Uraidla (whom you couldn't beat from two attempts)... Says to me that the outcome is a touch unpredictable, still think you'll win though.

I've heard David Murphy has signed up with Mt. Barker for 2008 already. I'm surprised he isn't getting the coach gig there.

TV beat Echunga yesterday....I would think there would be some very dissapointed people at Echunga at the moment - only team to beat Kangarilla (?) and out after one final.
