Daily Golf - Where you are playing and how you go

Lads, as mickey, carey, Corona Man and MT_79 have enjoyed a day with me I'll give two others an opportunity to join me.

Friday 4th May, Mt Osmond. Fully catered, don't drive, need to be there by 8am for breakfast.

I need a confirmation, shirt size and handicap.

The 4 mentioned above, you'll be on the bench if needed.

So the day started with the dog waking me up at 5.40. Feed her and put her out....bloody hot northerly gales.....but that was going to be ok. Had enough water in the fridge prepped...
Bit of a warm up...still warm....
Then as tee time approaches the first group of the day who fly along normally as a 4 but today playing as a 4 on a cart just push in front of the group ahead of us...then the funny thing is watching them then fall a hole behind as they drive around like the Lleyland brothers.....no golf etiquette from those ****...

Gale force winds continue, thunder and then showers pass over....just great for golf. Under a tree on the 4th and a branch from the tree in front just collapses...it felt like apocolyptic ...

A few nice shots but overall it was shit. Balls ending up in spots where you cant hit them etc... Putting was horrid and again instead of putting 10ft for a point just pick up and move on.

So ended up with 23pts on what became 16 holes of practice....

Played a 3 ball Ambrose yesterday at Blackwood.

I (11) played with a 25 and a 30 handicapper, and we ended up with 5 under off the stick, including a team eagle!

I sprayed a few which didnt matter, but it was the best I've hit irons in a long time (2 NTPs). And the F7 Driver is starting to burn off the tee, put a drive to 50 m on the 9th (our last hole).

Course in great nick.

39 points yesterday. Down to 11 handicap now. Would love to get to single figures but can't see it happening. I'm bound to lose the plot soon and blow out to a 15 or 16 as per usual. Been playing the worst golf the last year and basically gave up due to frustration and played the last 4 weeks and found some form and my last three rounds have been 40, 36 and 39 points and dropped a couple handicap points.

Got my team for Kingston all set for Thursday. Good spread of handicaps. A 5 marker, a lad on 8, myself the consummate burglar on 18, and a battler in 30. Predicting we will be the smokies in the field. I have one of our reps dropping me down there... Uber home, maybe via King Street!
