He's lived there his whole life, it was his Mum and Dad's house so nearly 80 years of memories gone.
Heart breaking.
So one week on and Aunty is back up in the Laura Hospital, still struggling with breathing ( hasn't been in great health for a while ) and looks like she might have another few days up there.
Uncle is on his way there today to be with her, he's had a couple of trips to theatre to have skin removed and is now able to open his eyes better and is on the improve on all fronts.
Insurance company, from what I gather, has been nothing short of sensational. Already have deposited $20k into a bank account to get them started, has found 2 places for rent that they will cover for up to one year and have been in touch with the daughter daily.
Investigators have said they'll probably never know the cause as the damage was so severe the only remaining structure was too dangerous to go in and will need to be simply leveled. The only things in the room where the fire started were a couple of alarm clock / radios, the solar inverter on the outside wall next to the power box. Obviously this is the area of concern, not really anything left of it.
PAFC. Forever.
LOOK OUT, WE'RE COMING!
