With regards to leg side keeper catches - excessive appealing is already outlawed - maybe they could police that a bit better

Outlawing something that was never an issue to start with ?

And yes, i agree that excessive appealing is one thing that should be cracked down on. Its a blight on the game. Umpires are under enough pressure with out players appealing for things they know are not out.

i didnt say it wasnt an issue - personally i havent really seen it but there must have been some impetus for the change

my point was it doesnt affect the game - cricket is still cricket if you cant fake a runout.

True.

Wow !! Ive only just watched the replay of Labuschagne being pinged under the law.
Truly laughable to be pinged for that.
If thats gonna be pinged then it really opens up a Pandoras Box of what could be termed as "Intentionally deceiving or distracting a batsman".
Under that then fieldsmen shouldn't be charging in during the bowlers run up as that deceives the batsman into thinking if they just drop the ball on the leg side theres an easy single bcos they think the fielder is 30m deep but by the time they play the ball theyre only 20m away. There are a multitude of innocent situations that could be determined as breaking the law. Just ridiculous !

Few other rule changes too.

The mankad rule changed again

You can now be caught off a fieldsmans helmet

Send off rule and runs penalties for bad behaviour

Being caught off the helmet is a terrible change, worst than all of the IMO

What happens if you're running in Jonty style and go to pick the ball up and under-arm it in one motion but don't grasp the ball cleanly? Is that a 5 run penalty?

Don't think so, it's designed for the blokes who slide and pretend to pick it up metres away from the ball to stop the second run.

Does it include yelling out "good arm" when the fielder hasn't even thrown the ball yet?

Good news for Australia but bad news for the Redbacks with Mitchell Starc ready to make his return from injury this Friday against SA.

Carey due to do something. Last 4 scores for us in 50 over cricket 9, 6, 11 and 5
The death penalty can never be excused as it allows a state a means by which it can pick and choose who is fit to live and who isnt

Why did Carey get given 4 runs for Starcs massive no ball? No contact on the ball. We are going to need 420 here
