Decent quarter, Sturts maturity looks noticeable but will they run it out aswell as their younger counterparts?

A small blemish from Evans to miss that shot on goal late. Sturt's pressure and their defence were very good that quarter.

Thanks to some of Port's lackluster ball movement Sturt didn't have to spend too many petrol tickets that quarter I reckon.

They were a hell of alot stronger at the contest.

Jack Stevens and the Sturt defence have been brilliant.
Summo cant get a clean possession.
Scott McMahon moves in slow motion but still made a fool out of Jake Neade.

Sturt may rue a lot of wasted chances earlier on when they were dominating clearances- Port back in the contest but don't look angerous in attack.

First 5-10 mins of the 3rd could decide this if Sturt start well again and bang a couple through.

The longer it stays close, the better Ports chances will be as a tough finals series could catch up with the Blues

And Osborn would probably earn a thirtieth too. :)

Life for the Sturt defence is being made easier with Port continually kicking the ball on their forwards heads and not out in front and to their advantage. Sturt boys are managing to get a spoil in almost every time

Real arm wrestle that quarter. Port had the footy in their forward half for probably 75% of that quarter but couldn't capitalise. Again Sturts defence and their tackling pressure was very good.
