Are we about to see the biggest lopsided crowd at the MCG? I'm predicting 80k Richmond fans and 100 Giants fans. I still think 100 is being generous

Yes we will. They will get 95k. All the Richmond faithful will be desperate to attend knowing more than half of them won't be able to get a GF ticket if they win.

Just saw a post that said MCG has been exhausted. 99k Richmond fans and 1200 sold to Giant fans!

There will be thousands of neutrals there so it's bollocks

Richmond $1.58 and the line is +8. Never seen such lopsided HTH betting and line betting before. It means a lot of Richmond supporters are loading up and HtH and the rest of us taking GWS at the line.

And justifies the price of the tickets when the AFL get sellouts, probably even jack up the prices again next year.

IMO GWS are a huge show to roll all over Richmond, they are the one team that can run in serious numbers against their defensive set up, quick ball movement will expose them.

GWS/Adelaide GF for me.....although the theatre of a Richmond GF would be captivating.

I'm hoping for a GWS win, more so because has their ever been a club and supporter base get ahead of themselves more than Richmond the past couple of weeks? (yeah yeah yeah, Adelaide did :) )

They think it's a walk up start for the GF.

You'd think any smart Richmond supporter wouldn't think that

Edit - I know that's easier said than done ;)

GWS succumbed very meekly to Richmonds pressure a few months back at the G. Given the Tiges have ramped that up since then along with adding greater scoring options, along with the cauldron their fans will bring, I can't see how GWS can beat them unless "the Tigers of old" re-surface, which imho looks unlikely.

Agreed, GWS beat a pretty average West Coast outfit last week, read nothing into that. Johnson kicked 6 and he'd take longer to touch his toes and get back up than I would, that's how bad West Coast were.

Richmond smash the AFL's Orange mob.

Yep, GWS would have learnt more from that game than Richmond, I highly doubt GWS will be kept to 45 points again.

Since Richmond lost to Sydney in R13 -

Beat - Carlton, Port, Brisbane, GWS, Gold Coast, Hawks, Freo, Saints

Lost to - Saints, Geelong

Hardly outstanding form IMO

Probably the largest gathering of a single supporter base in the history of the AFL/VFL on saturday night.

If that cant get richmond across the line then nothing will.

I too think GWS will give it a fair shake, but I do hope richmond win.

Happy for the crows to play either side, reckon we will beat either easily. More worried about this week against Geelong.

Games against Geelong, Sydney and West Coast always worry me

I reckon there will be a lot of neutrals there wanting to view the Tiger army bandwagon and experience the atmosphere for themselves.

I think the Giants are 1 win 11 losses at the MCG in their short history.

2-5 record in recent years, 2 narrow losses in that though.

Think the AFL orchestrate a very close match between the Tiges and Giants.
Id have to agree with Dutchy that Richmonds form isnt that great when you look at the opposition.
I think GWS will be better for that loss to Richmond earlier this year.
The Giants were heavy favs that time and now the roles are reversed.
Can the Tigers handle the pressure bestowed upon them from KB and the bandwagon???

Don't get ahead of yourself Benny. I think playing Richmond on the Big Day could go one of two ways.... The army could very well lift them over the line to victory, or of course, they are capable of playing a brand of footy that is, well typically Richmond. Either way I don't think you are beating them easily!
