Ha, it's the mixing of drinks that hurts me on Friday's, going from beers at the pub to CC's and then finishing on reds.

I'd rather feel crap at work than in my own time.

Opinion is saying "Djokovic is better than Murray". Saying someone else deserves to be treated inferior to others for no good reason is a dog act.

I can't see what some people's issue is with same sex marriage, shouldn't gay people be allowed to be as miserable as straight people?

She is entitled to her opinion as are people entitled to criticise her for her views.

Tell me stampy - how would two other people getting married affect you personally?

I rate a recent gesture by my best mate.

Unfortunately, earlier this year, my wife and I were victim to a break-in. A fair bit of jewellery was taken, most of it sentimental that doesn’t get worn often, if ever, such as my late Grandmothers wedding bands, my wife’s wedding jewellery etc.

My best mate got married last year, to which I was his best man. For his wedding, he had all his groomsmen made personalised cufflinks for the day, with each of our initials engraved on the front. A small gesture with a beautiful touch, that was extremely sentimental to me. These too, were taken as part of the break in.

Since the break-in, my wife and I have been going through the insurance claims process, and have only just received confirmation that our claim has been approved and settled. We have been compensated by way of a "voucher" to spend at a local jeweller. We will be able to “replace” the items taken as close as we can get to like for like, but quite obviously won’t truly replace the originals, and their worth.

Unbeknown to me, my mate went and sorted replacement cufflinks from where he had them made originally, and gave them too me last week. To say that I was blown away would be an understatement. I already held the bloke in such high regard to begin with, but gestures like that re-enforced the true value of our friendship. Absolutely first class.
