Eagles absolutely dominated that quarter - 8.2 to 0.1, 135-63 disposals, 18-4 inside 50s, 38-19 cont poss, 73-28 hb rec, 14-5 clearances. Poole had 12, Comitogianni 10 and Rowland 10. Eagles couldn't miss a target that quarter, Westies couldn't win the ball.

Lordy!! That disposal count is pretty telling, more than double. If I was the Bloods' captain I'd be calling for a count.

Of his possessions or players on the field? ;)

3 Quarter Time
Eagles 15.7 (97)
West 5.8 (38)

Not much better than term by Westies. Hall cleaned up everything across half back, disposals 117-73 (so not quite double this time) and 4.3 to 2.4. Total disposals 352-210, Eagles efficiency a staggering 87% (137/165 effective kicks, 170/188 effective handballs).

I was thinking this guy, they sound like they need all the help they can get.

Good to see Soders arguing AFL academy players would benefit more out of playing senior SANFL footy rather than missing matches for their club to play meaningless trial matches.

The Bays also had a few other running types that stuck out, but that 35 is hard to forget.

That is Timmy Sumner.

He has already has a crack in the AFL with Gold Coast, but gave it up due to personal problems.

Looks like the Bays are stuck with him then!
No relation to the Sumner that's having a bit of impact at Sturt ATM is he?

I think Sodas might have been referring to Rankine, he's good enough!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

1/4 time

SA 3.2
ADE 4.5

Goals to Overall (2) and Seccull

Slow start, better finish. Ravens' team full of kids and fill-ins.

Cross a late withdrawal. I'm fairly certain that is the first game he's missed in South colours, snapping a streak of 122 straight appearances.

HT

SA 6.3
ADE 7.8

Overall (2), Seccull (2), Barnes, Rankine

Probably lucky to be this close. Struggling.

3/4 time
SA 9.4
ADE 10.11

Overall (3), Seccull (2), Barnes (2), Rankine, Haren

South took the lead half way through the term but a couple of late goals sees the Ravens re-establish their advantage.

The triumph of plastic over tradition.
I feel shattered every time it happens.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail
