It used to mean something.

Yep:

Need 8.5 per over from here. These two will need to get it close to have a chance.

Stoinis 70 (79).. aussies 7/178 in the 39th over.

Going to need about 100 off the last 10 overs, definitely get-able, a lot rests on the shoulders of these two though!

Would be an incredible effort if they got it

Foolish by Starc, had taken 9 off the over already, could've seen out the spell and reset next over.

AUS 9/226 - need 61 off 42 balls.. Stoinis 98 (93)

Yep, he's had a terrific all-round game with bat and ball - definitely proven me wrong! Hopefully this kicks on and he can have this sort of influence regularly.

Agree I haven't rated Stoinis at all

I definitely think his more a batting all round but if canshow that patience with the bat early in his innings there is no reason he can't bat top 5-6

Well done Oil!! He was an interesting selection given his form this season but great for him to grab his opportunity and capitalize on it.

I honestly can't see Mitch Marsh playing this kind of innings in this kind of situation, he'd be well out by now. In the past when Australia has been in strife like today he has consistently failed when given time in the middle after the top order were dismissed cheaply.

Stonis 650 Shield runs last year at 38, this season 87 at 14.

Bet he's spewin' that he hadn't made runs this year as he'd be #451 not Cartwright.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!
