Hope India makes a huge score and beats the Poms like a drum.

Yes he can bat
But after seeing all the byes and the dropped catch of Tendulkar I have to agree with TAS

The Indians caned our attack too when our guns were out in 2003/04. Tremlett looks handy to me, gets good bounce and appears to be in the Stuart Clark mould. The Oval deck was a batsman's dream and Sidebottom got hurt. Tremlett was absolutely knackered yesterday.

MAte it isn't hard to criticise the current crop of international 'keepers their is a paucity of good keepers at the international level ATM. For that we have to thank our own Adam Gilchrist who has changed cricket (in my own biased opinion) for the worse as the art of glovemanship has been diminished in the eyes of selectors as they search for a person who can "handle" a pair of gloves but more importantly can bat too.
I've said it before and I'll say it again Adam Gilchrist is not a 'keeper of the ilk of Tallon, Healy, Marsh and Oldfield.

And that's why you will see people select him in an 'all time team', simply because of his batting. Whatever deficiencies he has in his keeping ability, he more than makes up for it with the bat.
