Goodwood would have rather spent the day on the Village Green.....

Speaking of Goodwood, what's happening with their deck at the moment?
Two sides in 2 rounds skittled for under 50, and the T20 wash out when most other games got away.
Used to be one of the best decks in turf cricket that was well maintained.

Well poor old Grange missed out on some vital dollars on the weekend when one of the clubs who have been advocating to play (Payneham) couldn't field a B1 side.........I hope Payneham share some of their revenue from them hosting the A1 game with Grange to make up for it!

Who should Payneham send their customary $20 revenue to?

Try the $250 invoice sent to 2 A1 clubs for a GF a couple of years ago

As someone who has worked that bar during a Saturday in cricket season that invoice would comprise a months worth of Grand Finals!

Yeah it's an interesting one.
The bylaws if read as black and white do make it a C2 forfeit as well.
That said, the turf usually err on the side of encouraging cricket to be played (which I think is a good thing), and as such, I recon they'll use the fact the bylaws have a clause to the effect of 2-day and 1-day comps are separate, and say that for the purpose of this bylaw, this round B2-C3 are considered 1-dayers.
Interesting though, especially if Payneham put half a dozen B1 players into the C2 side, would make it a tough call for the Turf then if a query was lodged!
