Received my candidate statements and voting instructions for the SACA Board......some make interesting reading!

Anyone know if the candidate statements/claims/comments need to be factually correct?

Can't be any worse than the fool that was voted in on the 'All memberships transferable' mandate.....resigned from his position when it was realised no one else on the board supported this position and had financial modelling evidence to back them up....

Pretty sure we would have Under 13 and 11 teams again, have appointed coaches at least!

Without mentioning names (unless you want to) can you outline the claims you believe are incorrect?

Sounds like Port Adelaide attempting to buy a flag. Tom Cooper and a few Victorians being targeted.

What do you mean?

SACA have made it clear a good junior program and promotion of youth at your club makes stuff all difference in terms of what they want in a Grade club.

Why shouldn't Port bring in some interstate talent or target other clubs as the likes of Glenelg, Woodville and Uni do?

The only thing to learn from season 2015/16 is that its dog eat dog and that is thanks to an incompetent SACA Board, administration and Grade Cricket Committee.

Think this is true. He is keen to come. Good mates with Ferg, lives near the Oval, and wont play at East Torrens after what happened to his brother.

Not that we would expect to see him much, as with Ferg, but everytime players like that play for you it is a huge buzz to the whole Club, just having them around the young group, and around the Club is a bonus.

I don't know who does the social media posts for SACA but these continual pump ups of Harry Nielson really do have an air of desperation. Not feeling the love?

Or its just laziness by the SACA PR department with easy access to him. All its really doing is giving ammo to the astute sledgers getting in First Grade.....

Agree with all that Aerie. West Torrens are the classic example that you can have the best Junior Development system in the State and it means bugger all with SACA! Port probably feel if they can play finals and win the Premiership, will be hard to remove them from the comp next year. Good on them I say, now or never really.

Here they go the mighty Eagle keyboard warriors in great early season form.
Just so we are clear, winning a cavalcade of junior premierships with players that go onto become C and D grade heroes isn't junior development.
How did your home grown champions go last year?
West Torrens have been in no way discernably less active in recruiting players from other clubs or interstate than most in the recent past.
Ferguson and now Richardson two prime examples!!! What a side they'd be if they still had Cullen Crosthwaite and Blizzard too.
You blokes make me laugh.

As for Port Adelaide, they bought a flag last time so I guess that's what they know. They've done well recruiting players not getting opportunities at better credentialed clubs and why wouldn't you go after Tom Cooper if he was available?

Cooper will be there 100%
Also not certain, but I think there is some Aus A tour (to Sth Af maybe) during the Matador so some of those blokes might not be available.

There is no Australia A tours during the same time that the Matador Cup is on but Australia have an ODI series in South Africa from the 27th of September to the 12th of October so SA probably won't have Zampa and Head available for at least their first 4 games of the tournament.

Who makes way for him, a bowler and then have Head bowl his right arm nothings? Would be a pretty deep batting line up then.
