To be eligible to be nominated for the award, a player must be younger than 21 years of age on 1 January of the award year and have played 10 or fewer senior games before the beginning of the season.

Why did Mills take til round 16 to get nominated? Seems very late in season.

There's a lot of love from the media pundits for Petracca, who may well have the brightest future of the group, but I don't think he's done enough this year from what I've seen to finish ahead of several of those other names.
