South were too good, which should be no real surprise to supporters of either side. Powerhouse second half. Good on 'em, hope they can go the whole way this year. North showed (again) they can match the good sides for a bit, but not for four quarters. An improvement on the shit sandwich that was North's 2015 season, but still along way to go.

What North'd give for a forward like Brett Eddy. 7 goals, hats off to him. Some kicked from very acute angles...including the one late in the last which he kicked from inside the boundary line on the south western flank. I was standing right on the fence where he took the mark, which at the time I disputed as being taken over the line. My subsequent attempt at distracting his shot at goal also failed as his kick curved perfectly around for a(notehr) goal. Eddy then turned around and gave me a very satisfied and purposeful glare as he ran back to his position.
Eddy 1, Magellan 0. ;)

Good work Mags. First step, drag him down to your level. Next time you'll really be able to get inside his head, he'll turn to jelly.
What ruse did you employ to distract him?

Logic, evidence, and a calm steady voice. No wonder I couldn't make it work.

Was that the reason that North picked this game to celebrate the 1991 premiership and welcome the past players, just to remind us what happen 25 years ago.

Great. A slice of humble pie served up for as along as South's servers stay online. ;)

No, I don't think so. If we really wanted to rub 25 year old salt into the wounds, we would've picked our home game against Westies. ;)

Well, you earned a glare, forever captured on the internet by the sounds. Perhaps we could caption it, "Eddy glares at Magellan, who used logic, evidence and a calm, steady voice in a futile attempt to upset his goal kicking." A little bit wordy, I know, but I think the Welsh have a word which translates into that phrase.

I gave the boundary umpire a serve after that one, it had to be at least a meter out when he took the grab and the ump couldn't have been in better position. Part way through my spray Weslo walked over and told me to stop with the F bomb, I threw a few extras in that didn't begin with F, Weslo just smiled and said "that's better, and you're right, it was a mile out" :D

Looked in from where I was standing (near the Hotdog stand) ;)

Maybe a few North supporters had a different visual angle to it ???

That's a pretty smooth dance move the guy in green is pulling there.
Not sure if a football field is the right place for it, but if security didn't have an issue with it, then I guess it must be alright.

I was straight behind the blind kermit who was in a direct line from where I stood to where the ball was "marked", it was a lot further out than it appears in that photo.

It mad no difference to the result but it was a shocker none the less
