It wouldn't take too much effort by the PoSAs to get this off the ground, unfortunately. I'm sure 6 of the 8 club presidents would eagerly announce their undying adoration of the works of Edith Piaf, Eartha Kitt, Marlene Dietrich and Liza Minnelli if it was put to them.

I did actually on TV sadly, what a waste of a beautiful afternoon live at any great club match.
My club was vacant,no fans,no spending,no buy in,no thrill of a live game.
A complete waste of a winters day,
so sad,
You can't take it back, another wasted opportunity for the SANFL competition.
Oh well there is always the AFL TV for those diehards that woud have turned up to a game in SA.
This was all too predicable when the experts came up with this program.
Let up hope the SANFL are looking at the attendance records of games in 2016 and clubs financial statements.
If they can't read the signs maybe it is SANFLEXIT.

That's not the point Phil and VP is right. The program is a disgrace this year and does nothing to promote SANFL or encourage people to follow the league.
You might be gagged these days but that doesn't mean you should get flippant.

The number of byes, when one of the promises was completely the opposite, the TV scheduling, which was going to bring so much sponsorship and exposure, yet mostly focusses on matches involving AFL Reserves teams, and the general lack of media interest has done nothing to promote the SANFL throughout the state.

Without speaking for him, VP is a Rooster supporter, and wants to watch his team, not go watching two other teams he might only have a passing interest in.
Your reply is crap, and dismissive.

Okay, I see his and your points and you are right...

I will take you to task on the 'gag' comment however, as that is not the case at all...

It just gets a bit mundane seeing the same complaint rolled out every couple of weeks. We get it...

Posting the same message, time and time again, on a public footy forum, isn't going to change it for this season, at least...

The League would be well and truly aware of what has transpired this season and the feedback from the clubs has been very strong...

I would suspect he wont be having this same gripe next season and that there will hopefully be all 5 games being played in the same round...

These 3 weeks when there are only AFL games are the perfect opportunity to have a full 5 game schedule each week when there is a chance of some fans looking for a footy fix

I'd like to see the SANFL come out and confirm something to that affect BP. Given previous decisions and track record it's fair to assume they don't know what's going on or at least may not address it. When they start debating a drop in crowds is balanced by you tube and Twitter hits, you know they're entering la la land. One person watching YouTube one year and two the next is a 100% increase and adds zero revenue to an SANFL club. Personally, I'm assuming the SANFL board is not currently acting in the best interest of the SANFL.

It isn't the same mundane complaint rolled out every week Phil.
Firstly, I and many others don't see it as "mundane", but equally VP isn't rolling out the same complaint week after week. He is complaining every time his team had a senseless bye.
Granted, with the number of byes each club has this season it is easy till think he is complaining every week. ;)

I heard the AFL types on MMM complaining about the "on going bye" in the AFL, suggesting that "everyone is sick of it" and asking. "what is the AFL going to do?". Funny how 1 bye in the AFL season is so intolerable yet we're meant to be happy with 5. I'd love the AFL to have 5 byes, there'd be complete media anarchy.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Good comment Therisingblues.
I was thinking the same thing.
I wonder how many other followers of the SANFL are also on the same page.
Obviously too late for 2016 season, but hopefully the powers to be and clubs will see the light into the 2017 program.
It maybe the last chance to stabilise the SANFL ship.
