Warm up series back to 1-1 due to a great partnership between Maxwell and Warner.

Good to see the pea-hearted South Africans continue to be intimidated by their masters, the mighty Aussies. Their bowling and fielding in the last 5 overs was comical.

I switched the commentary off after we lost 3 quick wickets. Only tuned back in when I saw a headline that Warner and Maxwell had put on 50 in quick time. Was a sensational partnership. Helps partially solve the batting debate because you'd think Warner earns that now. I know it's not going to happen and would be a massive controversy (and backflip) but the top order guy who least deserves a spot is Smith. His T20 record frankly stinks and he's not got runs recently. I'd go with Finch, Watson, Khawaja, Warner, Maxwell as our top 5. Probably would bat Faulkner at 6 ahead of Marsh too. The lack of a spinner is a huge worry. They keep bringing blokes in but Maxwell keeps on being as good or better than anyone they try. Brad Hogg might be looking more and more the option they should have gone for.

Watching the replay right now. Some awesome hitting from Maxi and Davey, love it.

Agree about Smith Grahaml, shouldn't be in the side in front of Khawaja and IMHO shouldn't even worry about playing T20 cricket. Finch should of remained the captain.

also watched the replay, was a cracking partnership.

Fox have started advertising the T20 world cup lead-in games, so hopefully that means they have secured the rights for the whole tournament

Ryan Campbell made 9 in his T20I debut; ironically his ODI debut was in the same match that Brendon McCullum also debuted in.

I wasn't exactly a Campbell fan when he was playing first class in Aus. But I do like seeing these blokes having a crack with minor nations. Got to be a huge buzz for them personally but the boost it must give the team they play for would have to be massive. Those guys he walks out with would be akin to parkland cricketers surely, yet they get to train, be tought by and chat about cricket with a guy who spent a long time as a genuine first class cricketer and who played international cricket for a full member nation.

Hazlewood picks up a hat trick against the WI. Don't think this is an official T20 so probably won't count, but if he's playing for any reason this basically confirms his position. 3 overs up front, 3/4 is as good as you ever hope for in T20 (or any game to be honest). Reckon he needs to bowl 2-3 with the new ball every time and then finish his spell in the middle overs. He's a wicket taker who bowls back of a length, so he's wasted at the end IMHO. Leave that for Faulkner and Hastings, or Tye if he makes the side.

is Graeme Swann feeling ok? in a column for The Sun newspaper he as picked Australia to win

but he does raise a valid point as to why we could win. Our batting need to fire to give the bowlers something to work with.

I really just can't see us winning it, will be lucky to make the final IMO. Would be very happy to be proven wrong though. India should romp it it.

Geez the Indians are just plain cheats with no sportsmanship at all. If you get the chance have a look at Yuvraj Singh's dismissal and tell me why he didnt just walk off the ground. Regulation c&b but we had to go upstairs for the verdict

India destroyed by NZ over night. Brilliant captaincy, team selection and spin bowling by the Kiwis.

If these wickets are what we expect it is unforgivable we didn't send Nathan Lyon

Different strokes for different folks. I notice Virat Kholi walked when he edged one to the keeper, so you can't label them all cheats because one guy stands his ground. Bit of pressure on India now.

I'm far from a Yuvraj fan, but I've no problem with a batsman waiting for the umpire's decision. Even if he got clean bowled, I got no issue with him waiting for the finger. Only when it comes to things like handled ball and obstructing the field do I think a batsman should be expected to walk.

When would a batsmen ever concede he obstructed the fielder and that it wasn't the fielder who interfered with him.

Need to rip the seats out of Eden Gardens and have it standing room like the old days. Used to be the most amazing atmosphere in World Cricket with 120,000 Indian Fans going apeshit. Now holds half the crowds and according to local sources since the seats have gone in then the prices have gone right up.
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
